Update for the winter

There hasn't been a whole lot going on here this winter. Bobby was sick after I was with the cold crud for about a month, just like mine. Now I am snifling again and don't like it a bit. I have been using Zicam and it really works. I was hesitant about buying it, but it does work. Pass the word on....

I am still working on lap quilts when I have a minute, when Bobby is working. When I finished the current lap quilt I am going to make a large quilt(hopefully) for the sleeping room bed. I enjoy working on the quilts, it is very relaxing.

We bought a new car a couple of weeks ago and are really enjoying it. We got a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu, which is really nice. We traded in our 2006 Honda. The Malibu rides so quite and has all kinds of gismos on it.

We had a little snow last Saturday night, but not enough to really enjoy. I would like to have one big snow before the season is over, if possible, but if not, I will wait until next year. I love SNOW. It seems like it has been a long cold winter for Arkansas and I am really ready for spring. It is going to be warmer the next few days and I am sure I will enjoy having the windows open and enjoying some fresh air. We put a few pompas grass plants out in the yard today and have much more yard work to do on this new yard. We were waiting for spring to plant trees and flowers, so the time is fast approaching.

Kristi's oldest child, my 3rd grandchild, will be a teenager tomorrow. He is not supposed to be 13. I sometimes forget he is that old and still treat him like a little boy, but he enjoys his Granny treating him special. Donna Jo will be 9 in June and that seems impossible, also.

Well as you can see there is not much going on in our life, but that is the way it goes when you reach retirement.
